Position Summary:
The Health Center Business Director II provides vision and leadership to the employees, patients, and community associated with the Health Center, and services delivered in its service area, in alignment with HealthPoint's vision, strategy, processes, and policies. The Health Center Business Director II collaborates with the HealthPoint Clinical Director, Clinician Leads, Operations Leaders, HealthPoint subject matter experts and leadership to ensure that services are provided at the highest quality standards of care, while meeting business objectives to support the fiscal health and long-term sustainability of the organization. The Health Center Business Director II ensures employees, patients, and members of the community have a safe, seamless, and positive service-delivery experience in all interactions with HealthPoint.
The Health Center Business Director II designation is based on patient population & encounter volumes, number of programs or service lines, and number of locations managed.
As a key leader of HealthPoint, the Health Center Business Director I creates and fosters a culture of inclusivity, respect, understanding, compassion, and empowerment in service to the well-being and growth of its patients, communities, and employees.
Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.
Your contribution to the team includes:
- Develop a dynamic, business-savvy Health Center strategy that aligns with corporate vision and strategy, company direction and focus. Execute against plan and budget, annually and with continuous agility, to maximize services for assigned communities and sites.
- Provide operational support and leadership that ensures quality, patient experience.
- Ensure that business success metrics are met or exceeded.
- Evaluate, monitor, and adjust overall performance by consuming and interpreting data and metrics – financial, operational, and clinical.
- Partner with the HealthPoint Clinical Director to ensure a seamless excellent patient experience across services while achieving optimal business results.
- Monitor and lead progress toward goal on key performance indicators, including, but not limited to multi-disciplinary quality of care indicators and business indicators.
- Develop and enhance local community partnerships in alignment with the business and community strategy.
- Ensure brand consistency of services and experiences for patients and employees in concert with HealthPoint's organizational vision and strategy.
- Lead using HealthPoint's Management System to drive continuous improvement.
- Coach and develop other operational leaders.
- Responsible for hiring, performance management, talent development, employee relations, recognition, and training of staff by providing effective leadership. Ensure all work is completed in support and enhancement of the objectives and goals of the organization.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to streamline and enhance office operations using the HealthPoint Lean Management System (HLMS) tools and processes.
- Maintain good attendance, is punctual and works full scheduled shift is a condition of employment.
- Demonstrate respectful, professional, and appropriate behavior that supports a team-oriented work environment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of HealthPoint and its healthcare delivery including the ability to integrate values of integrity, wisdom, creativity, cooperation, responsibility and respect into appropriate programs and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Must have's you'll need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare management, or a related field and seven (7) years' experience leading health care delivery operations and multidisciplinary teams required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred. Experience with Lean Process Improvement a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and promote teamwork, while fostering excellence. Experience and success developing others through influence and management. Known for taking initiative to solve problems and strive for continuous improvement. Interest and track record in developing others. High emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and knowledge of leadership best practices. Practices leadership consistent with HealthPoint values of integrity, cooperation, responsibility, wisdom, creativity, and respect.
- Exceptional analytical skills and knowledge of the HealthPoint business. Demonstrated business acumen, meaning the ability to ask for and consume information needed to run the business and improve the business. Detail-oriented. Demonstrated ability working with quality of care and population health analytics. Strong process and project management expertise, ideally including lean quality improvement methodologies.
- Strong listening skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated emotional intelligence and self-awareness in working with others. Practices confidentiality and discretion. Prioritizes communication to affect clear decision-making, expectations, and commitment to shared outcomes.
Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start.HealthPoint does not accept the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as proof of vaccination.If you have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, we ask that you provide documentation demonstrating proof of an alternate COVID vaccine or vaccine series. All new employees are also required to show proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, annual Influenza and TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer. Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required. Hepatitis B. is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immune titer results prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment.Where to gather your records:
