SUNY Broome Community College has an immediate opening for a Part-Time, Senior Account Clerk in Accounts Payable, within the Finance Office.
The Senior Account Clerk is responsible for ensuring that expenditures meet established policies and are properly classified. Must understand and interpret Purchasing and Accounts Payable policies. Compiles vendor reports and analysis for senior management. Balances and processes Accounts Payable checks. Reviews, analyzes, and processes complex financial documents such as travel expense reimbursements, faculty dental billings, year-end dual year processing, P-card accounts, and 1099's. Handles complex vendor issues. Audits and reviews claim vouchers and other documents.
Requirements:
A. Graduation from a New York State registered or regionally accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree or higher in accounting, business, or a closely related field; OR
B. Completion of 60 credit hours at a New York State registered or regionally accredited college or university which must have included at least twelve credit hours in accounting or bookkeeping; OR
C. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and two years of experience maintaining financial accounts and records; OR
D. An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.
Additional Information:
The hourly rate for this position is $18.43.
This position is not to exceed 25 hours per week within the core business hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
This position is represented by the ESPA bargaining unit.
