- Level 10 Grade 1, full-time / ongoing appointment
- Base salary range: $140,667 – $146,147 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation

About the team
Campus Management is responsible for planning, designing, developing and managing the University’s campus and property portfolio to support teaching, research and campus life. Campus Management delivers a range of University-wide services including strategic development and planning, property management, facilities operations, major projects and developments, sustainability, landscape, security and transport. As part of the Campus Planning team the role has accountability for setting the framework for University estate wide development planning, design, property and space.
About the opportunity
As the appointee you will, under broad direction, provide financial and commercial leadership and management of the University’s property portfolio. You will lead major asset planning projects, property developments and major contracts, along with the management and oversight of external advisory teams engaged related to strategic property matters. You will lead the optimisation of the University’s land and property holdings. In addition, you will manage coordination of strategic property matters including land asset development and divestment strategy, ensuring that the University’s strategic project objectives are met.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:
- Relevant postgraduate tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
- Extensive experience in managing and delivering comprehensive commercial services in a large and complex environment
- Substantial experience in the management and development of an extensive estate portfolio, including property development involving institutional, commercial, retail and/or residential complex projects
- Demonstrated experience in providing strategic and operational advice to senior management including presenting business cases, leading major estate projects, driving cultural change and achieving significant planned outcomes
- Substantial and extensive experience in project management and delivery, preferably within the property development or public planning sector
- Significant knowledge of the property sector, local real estate markets and urban planning framework
- Significant knowledge of the Western Australian Planning Regime and Leasehold system, along with a demonstrated understanding of the Public Sector processes as it relates to procurement, probity and funding
- Excellent conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret and advise on development and property matters
- Proven ability to consult and negotiate with multiple and diverse stakeholders in complex environments to achieve outcomes is required and preferably in an institutional or a University environment
- Sound estate management knowledge including understanding of contemporary issues and practical application of legislation, policies and commercial practices with respect to land, property and estate portfolio management and development
- Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to take a leading role in resolving complex problems including planning, liaison, consultation and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders and/or service providers
A Current National Police Clearance Certificate is required.
