Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Department of Decision, Operations, and Information Technologies at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Information Systems. Preference will be given to assistant professors with experience and associate professors working in research areas and initiatives that address the grand challenges of our times, and of importance to the Smith School. These include, but are not limited to, artificial intelligence, including algorithmic bias, the spread and mitigation of false and inaccurate information online, and sustainability.

The rank and tenure status are dependent on the candidate’s qualifications. Candidates must have a Ph.D., and a track record (commensurate with experience) of high-impact and creative research. Successful applicants will be expected to continue to conduct impactful and inspirational research, deliver high-quality teaching to undergraduate, MBA, MS, and PhD students and participate in service activities for the department, school and/or university.
