GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In this challenging role, you will be supporting the HOS - Housekeeping department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
Checks and maintains departmental mechanical equipment to ensure that it is in working order. Train custodial staff in equipment usage and procedures, as well as the proper use and storage of cleaning materials, chemicals, and non-mechanical equipment. Performs building inspections to ensure routine cleaning is satisfactory, and to identify areas where project work may need to occur.
Assist in managing custodial services tasks and projects on and around college buildings and property. Ensure employees follow proper operating, maintenance and safety procedures while engaged in assigned tasks. Accomplish tasks using sound judgment and initiative to complete work without constant supervision.
Coordinate college events working directly with appropriate departmental administrative staff, public relations, Chief of Staff to the president, as well as other governmental agencies, private outside groups and stakeholders and any other people and groups who want to utilize college property and facilities for meetings and events. Incumbent will secure necessary assistance with other college departments and coordinate with local vendors, providing support for set-up and breakdown for events.
Procure necessary services and supplies following college and SC State procurement rules and guidelines for Custodial Services. Pay vendors directly using college issued procurement card (Visa) or submit invoices for payment to business office. Generate purchase orders as necessary. Initiate contact with local vendors in order to establish professional business services in order to accomplish maintenance tasks. Ensure college business office has all required vendor paperwork. (w-9, COLI, MBO, etc) . Maintain employee time records through Kronos Time Keeping System.
Coordinate with Logistics Management Department's supply manager in the disposition and disposal/recycling of surplus property and equipment. Coordinate with the college's EHS manager concerning sustainability goals and DHEC reports. Coordinate with Building/Grounds Supervisor I required compliance training.
Perform other duties as assigned by Building/Grounds Supervisor, Building/Grounds Manager or Director of Facility Maintenance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Valid state driver's license. Bachelors degree and relevant experience.
