Dev Tools Engineer Intern - Undergraduate
United States, San Diego: this position can be performed in a remote or hybrid capacity out of the SIE-PlayStation San Diego, CA office.

About the Team:
In the role of Dev Tools Engineer Intern, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing and supporting the tools used by our global engineering teams. You will collaborate with engineers to gather requirements, create and update documentation, and provide operational support for a variety of services and platforms essential to the development of the PlayStation experience including web, mobile and game consoles.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Main point of escalation for issues experienced by our developers
- Responsible for resolving routine issues and determining if escalation to the next tier is needed
- Facilitate the needs of dependent teams (Infosec, QA, and operations) and work with external teams to achieve results
- Support production and non-production application environments
- Work with diverse technology stacks
- Collaborate with team members from all of our various global offices
What We're Looking For:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited institution, pursuing Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with an expected graduation date by Spring 2026.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You have strong analytical and debugging skills
- You are able to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
- You are familiar with common system administration tasks
- You have a basic understanding of computer networks
- Knowledge of AWS technologies (EC2, Route53, S3, Secrets Manager, etc) is a plus
- Knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, and Docker are a plus
- Knowledge of Information Security related topics is a plus
Eligibility:
- Able to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th.
- Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.
- Open to students who are U.S. citizens or international students with an F-1 visa.
- Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
